Doris noriega
Doris R. Noriega graduated from the School of the Hartford Ballet, where she received her Teaching Certificate in 1982 and has been teaching dance since. While teaching, she continued her training at the New World School of the Arts, where she graduated, with honors, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 1998. After graduated with honors in 1998:
Doris R Noriega is an Abt Certified Teacher who has successfully completed the Abt Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the Abt National Curriculum.
Ms. Noriega's early training was with the National Ballet of Peru, as well as the Municipal Ballet of Peru. Continually wanting to bring new ideas and techniques to her profession as an instructor, she has trained with David Howard in his Teacher Workshop and the Finis Jhung Teacher Workshop, in addition to other well known and highly respected dance professionals. She has taught classes at the School of the Hartford Ballet and several dance schools in the United states and Peru. In addition to her teaching, she has performed with several dance companies both in the United States and Peru.
Carla noriega
Carla A. Noriega started dancing since the age of 2 at Coconut Grove Ballet under the direction of Doris R Noriega.
She has trained with the School of Dance Connecticut. After Dance Connecticut: the Martha Graham School, The Gelsey Kirkland Academy and Lines Ballet and with such masters as with such dance masters as Peggy Lyman, Linda Hodes, Finis Jhung, Wilhelm Burmann, Gelsey Kirkland, Robert Atwood, Levi Claiborne, Ephrat Asherie, Charles Kelley, Bill Coates, and Charles Goddertz .
Ms. Noriega has attended the Florida Dance Festival on scholarship. She has trained at the Martha Graham School summer intensive for the past seven years including the Pearl Lang Composition Intensive. Ms. Noriega has also trained with the Peruvian gymnastics team.
Carla Noriega is a Design & Architecture Sr. High School alumni. She holds an A.A. from the Honors College at Miami Dade College and a B.A. from Florida International University.
She has been teaching since 2000. She has taught at St. Hugh Catholic School, Ransom Everglades Lower & Upper School and Plymouth Pre-school. She teaches Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Hip Hop, Tap and Acrobatics at Coconut Grove Ballet.
Kelly Ginnity
Born and raised in Franklin Lakes, NJ, Kelly began dancing at age three at the Wyckoff School of Dance, under the direction of Diane Dana. Over the years Kelly has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and modern with such greats as Frank Hatchett, former Rockette Jean Martin, and Boris Levin of the Bolshoi Ballet. In high school, Kelly was accepted to dance with Hoctor’s Dance Caravan as a Caravan Kid, and had the priveledge of traveling the country with a professional company, performing at Disneyland in California and Disneyworld in Orlando, FL. Throughout High School Kelly performed at camps and competitions.While at college at the University of Miami, Kelly studied exercise physiology, psychology and had the pleasure of studying dance with Kathyanne Guy-Londono and Carol Kaminsky, focusing on pedagogy and creative movement.
She has taught at various dance studios, teaching Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, and all levels of Jazz, Tap and Lyrical, instilling discipline and passion in all of her students, and of course, having fun. Ms. Ginnity is currently teaching Jazz, Lyrical and Ballet Conditioning at Coconut Grove Ballet.
Paola Escobar
Paola Escobar was born in Colombia. She has danced with the modern dance company L’explose with which she participated in the Festival de Almada (Portugal), Festival de Teatro de Cadiz, Festival de los Veranos de la Villa (Madrid), Festival Madrid Sur, Festival Latinidades (Sao Paulo). While with the company, she also performed at La Maison de la Danse (Lyon), Theatre de la Comedie (France), Teatro Colon and Teatro de la Candelaria (Colombia). She was part of Afrocontemporaneo 34% Visibles project and participated in the Let’s Kick Up Our Heels Festival in Toronto, Festival de San Sebastian in Spain, and the Festival de Teatro de Medillin, among others.
As a Flamenco dancer she has worked in Havana with the companies Ecos and Aires. In Bogota she directed her own company Taconearte. Her work, Flamenco 24 Horas, received the National Prize in 2005 and the award for creation, Psos 2002, among other. Currently residing in Florida, she has participated in Calle Flamenca with Bailes Fer-rer (2006) and had the lead role in Las Bruhas de Viaje de Regreso, at the Colony Theater in Miami Beach.
